Quiet day
Daily AI intelligence, translated for business operators.
Today's Signal
Video calls can no longer prove who you're talking to. Fix your verification before a scammer tests it.
Tavus previewed Griffin, an AI that appears as a lifelike person on live video. It listens, nods mid-sentence, and responds to what it sees on a user's screen. In the company's test, 48% of participants thought they were talking to a real human, up from 2.4% with earlier models. It's limited to trusted testers for now while Tavus works on safety and disclosure.
What this means for you
Seeing a face and hearing a voice is no longer proof of identity, so any process at your company that relies on 'I saw them on a call' (payment changes, vendor onboarding, approvals) needs a second check. The same technology will eventually staff your front line too, but only a system that knows your business, your rules, and your customers makes that safe.

The entry-level job you hired for three years ago is changing under you
Gartner says marketing leaders need to rethink how they hire and develop junior talent, because AI is changing which skills matter. Traditional entry-level paths are becoming less relevant.
For you: Before you refill a junior seat, rewrite the role around who will run the AI-assisted work, not who will do the manual tasks AI now handles.

AI made the work faster. It didn't make it better.
MarTech reports that AI has sped up marketing workflows, but results and return haven't kept pace. Many teams are using tools to move faster without getting better outcomes.
For you: Measure AI by revenue, margin, or hours returned to you, not by how much more output your team produces.

04Tools
A local agency wired 175 tools into one brain. That's the real lesson for your stack.
A West Palm Beach agency built its own AI platform that connects more than 175 marketing tools into one system serving over 900 local businesses. The pitch is less manual data shuffling and one shared view across channels.
For you: Your problem probably isn't too little software, it's too many tools that don't talk to each other, and connecting them beats buying another one.

05The Market
Real estate agents are being handed 16 AI tools. Most won't need more than two.
HousingWire rounded up 16 AI tools for agents, covering lead generation, property analysis, client communication, and transaction management. AI is becoming a baseline expectation in the business.
For you: In any service business, pick the one or two bottlenecks that cost you the most time or deals and fix those before collecting tools.

The one thing a lifelike AI face still can't do: know your business
Griffin is a stunning engine. It can look, listen, and react like a person, but it doesn't know your pricing, your customers, your exceptions, or what you'd never say on a call. The model is the engine, and the operating system is the car. The owners who win won't be the ones with the most convincing AI, but the ones with a system around it that runs on how their business actually works.
